Latest News
25 June 2010 - Updated Show Team page with notable results from the 2010 season and refreshed For Sale page. We have had several enquiries about the filles from the 2009 foal crop. Yes most are for sale and prices start at $12000 including gst. They will be formally added to our sale page later in the year when they have dropped their winter woolies! Sorry for the lack of updates so far this year - it has been a rather hectic year with a busy show schedule and a lot of new clients - thank-you :)
26 October 2009 - After months of waiting we finally welcomed home the latest addition to our broodmare band last night. A Good Peach is sired by Zippos Mr Good Bar and out of Assets Peaches (dam of World Champion Britney Pine). A Good Peach was bred by Bill & Tina Kaven at Gordonville, TX, USA and she is in foal to Vested Pine for a March 2010 foal.

2009 Foals are arriving... check out our Foals page for pics. Most of these foals are for sale!
2009 NPHA Pleasure Celebration
We've just added our NPHA show results into our Show Team page. We had an absolutely awesome show with the horses we took. In short a total of 6 Champion or Reserve Champion NPHA titles. Nova had possibly one of her best ever shows and yes to all who wondered she is in foal (the belly was looking a bit bigger than normal)! We are taking imprinting to a whole new level! As soon as we have photos we will post some on our site and we have also loaded a couple of You Tube videos for anyone that might be interested. Visit our You Tube channel here and look for our NPHA videos or simply do a search on You Tube for NPHA . Available videos are of the big 2yo WP futurity final and also finals of the Junior Horse Derby and the Amateur Stakes.
Congrats to the NPHA committee and all the hard workers that make this show happen. This show is truly a delight to attend and we highly recommend it to both competitors and spectators alike.
2009 NSWPHA State Show
Another excellent show for the Dominion Team. We are particularly proud of our two yearlings who excelled in their very first outing (and the first time they had even been off our property!). Also special mention to Glenn and Blazing Hot N Spicy. Glenn has not shown a ridden horse for about 8 years, so to place as well as he did in the Amateur and Open classes was a fantastic effort.

Welcome to Dominion Equine and Dominion Paint Horses
Incorporating Dominion Show Horses and Dominion Paints, we are one of Australia's leading breeders of ridden Paint Horses for western performance events, including Western Pleasure, Trail and other associated western disciplines. Our bloodlines are based on the best performed and proven Paint Horse and Quarter Horse bloodlines that both Australia and the world has to offer and we are very proud of the progress we have made towards improving the overall quality and type of ridden Paints here in Australia.
First and foremost is our desire to produce good quality horses that are competitive in open company. Paint Horses are a stock type breed in their own right, not just a colour, and as such we strive to produce the best type of horse we possibly can, with colour as a secondary consideration. We evaluate our solid coloured horses with as much enthusiasm as our coloured horses and have no hesitation in selecting a solid or paint bred horse to be on our show team if we believe it to be a better performance prospect than a coloured counterpart. That said we have been very blessed to have produced some exceptional coloured horses in recent years and oh they are so pretty to look at! It's the best of both worlds really..... the awesome ability and temperament of the Quarter Horse infused with the extra chrome and sparkle of the Paint!
Our breeding program to date has been exclusively Paint Horse to Quarter Horse. At present we see little point in breeding Paint to Paint and we will not breed overo to overo as there is no better chance of producing colour and we believe the 25% risk of producting a lethal white foal to be unacceptable. Some of our Quarter Horse bloodlines include Cee A Barpasser (Barpasser), HF Somethin Hot, Tall Dark n Radical (Radical Rodder, Tahnee Zippo, Hotrodders Jet Set, Zippo Pine Bar), Ten (Ace of the Deck, Morn Deck) and we have crossed these with what we believe to be the best of ridden Paint Horse genetics here in Australia offered by the great Loots Image (Gran Loot) and Burnin Love (C-Notes Playboy).
So please enjoy your browse around our site. Our News and For Sale pages are regularly updated, as are other pages as required. We are very passionate about developing the depth, quality and consistency in the bloodlines of ridden Paint Horses in Australia and welcome comment and discussion on this fabulous breed of horse.
